On the morning of July 24, 2024, the armed German police attacked 53 cultural centers of the Iranian regime in the country and banned their activities. The Iranian centers were the illegal extension of the Iranian extremist and terrorist regime on the German soil. During the raids large amount of money and documents were confiscated. The regime operations extend beyond Germany. Albania is another target country for the Iranian regime. Albania closed down Iranian regime’s “Saadi Foundation” directed by the Iranian expelled diplomats 5 years ago. However, since last year the regime has launched another society in Albania under the name of “Nejat Society” which is widely known to be an extension of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) in Albania.
The MOIS is rapidly recruiting local agents. A few days ago, my Iranian-Italian friend showed me an alarming article from a website affiliated with the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) called "Nejat Society". The article reflected on an interview by an Albanian person named Aldo Solullari saying, "He has been part of the Albanian ‘Nejat Society’s social project for more than 2 years."
On the cover websites of the MOIS including the “Nejat Society”, Aldo Solullari is introduced as the media manager of the "Nejat Society". Previously, Solullari introduced himself as affiliated to another MOIS entity in Albania under the name ASILA. However, ASILA has come under investigation by the Special Proseution against Corruption and Organized Crimes (SPAK) on charges of working with the Terrorist Quds Force and Iran's Revolutionary Guards and receiving money from them. Consequently, due to the disclosure, ASILA is now a defunct entity and is not operating any more.
Points of worries
Reports by international research and intelligence institutions, confirm that “Nejat Society” in Iran is one of the branches of the MOIS, responsible for suppressing the families of MEK members in Iran.
Many Iranians living in Ashraf3 in Albania are complaining that the “Nejat Society” and its CEO in Iran, Ebrahim Khodabandeh are involved with the revolutionary Guards and the terrorist Quds Force in harassing and torturing their family members in Iran.
A report by the US Library of Congress prepared for the Pentagon identifies Ibrahim Khodabandeh as an agent hired by the MOIS:
The notorious MOIS is reportedly deploying local agents to spread terrorism and hatred against the MEK in Albania through of “Nejat Society”.
According to members of the Iranian community, Ebrahim Khodabandeh, the head of the "Nejat Society" in Iran has hired Aldo Solullari and some other Albanians namely Erisa Idrisi from Romana community in Albania to spread lies and buying programs against MEK in Albania TVs. Some Albanians living in the United States confirm that Aldo Solullari, who used to host a program on the largest Albanian Diaspora TV in the USA, was fired from the TV station for misusing his program in propagating slanders of the regime's MOIS against its democratic opponents.
MOIS training in Dubai,
Based on intelligence reports, the MOIS transferred Aldo Solullari and Erisa Idrizi to Dubai in the first week of July for giving them in person instructions and training. Dubai is a usual location for the MOIS to debrief its foreign agents for avoiding possible phone interception. Ebrahim Khodabandeh and other MOIS operatives met them in Dubai. Solullari then in a post on his Facebook stated, “a beautiful project that will soon be broadcast in Albania, America, and the Emirates”. He put the Iranian regime’s flag in the same post perhaps indicating the instructor.
International concern
In a letter to the Albanian authorities last in November 2023, the highly respected Italian Federation of Human Rights reflected the said concern: "We have noticed that recently MOIS has started its operation in Albania under a cover society called Nejat Society in Albania.
Since Albania hosts the members of the democratic opposition of the Iranian regime on the one hand and has very close and fruitful relations with Italy on the other hand, naturally, the activity of the intelligence and terrorist elements of the Iranian regime in Albania is a serious cause of concern for us.”
On 6 July 2024, the international news website, News Blaze by referring to Aldo Solullar and Erisa Idrizi, reported that Khodabandeh “by employing several Iranian and Albanian individuals, he holds public meetings in the country to incite hatred against the MEK members, an activity impossible in other European countries. These meetings involve broadcasting speeches intended to sow discord between the Albanian people and the MEK in Ashraf. Additionally, other media outlets affiliated with the MOIS advocate for attacks on Ashraf.”
A security expert on Iranian issues told me that for the security of Albania and the MEK refugees in Albania, it is necessary that Nejat Society and activities of the agents hired by MOIS under guise of the Society in Albania should be banned as soon as possible. Moreover, that Albanian TV stations should stop selling programs to such hirelings, knowing that Iranian regime is preparing terrorism and attacks against Iranian community, MEK in Albania.
