The recent arrest of two international terrorists, who were targeting an Iranian dissident in the Netherlands, has shed light on the Iranian regime's growing aggression. The event has also raised questions about the Iranian regime's activities targeting its opponents in Albania. Among these activities, the role of Aldo Sulollari, a local media manager for the Nejat Society run by the Iranian regime, has come under scrutiny. Evidence suggests that Sulollari is a lackey of the regime's notorious Intelligence Ministry (MOIS), targeting Iranian dissidents in Albania.
Background on Nejat Society:
Several US and European sources monitoring the global terrorism of the Iranian regime have reported that the Nejat Society, an organization also operating in Albania, is widely believed to be an offshoot of the MOIS. It serves as a conduit for the Iranian regime's international terrorism. The MOIS has appointed Ebrahim Khodabandeh as CEO of Nejat Society in Iran. According to a report by the Library of the US Congress, Khodabandeh was recruited by the MOIS for its objectives.
The MOIS initially formed its gang in Albania under the name ASILA, managed by Hassan Heyrani. Following investigations by the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crimes (SPAK) and attacks by anti-terrorism police, ASILA changed its name to "Nejat Society of Albania." The society's primary target is the Mojahedin-e-Khalq (MEK), an Iranian opposition group that has faced severe persecution from the Iranian regime. Several thousand MEK members reside in Ashraf3, a self-funded community near Tirana, the capital of Albania. They have been targeted by the Iranian regime's terrorism. The regime has repeatedly declared that all MEK members must be killed according to its self-written Sharia law.
Aldo Sulollari tries in vain to portray the Nejat Society as a humanitarian organization. However, there is strong evidence that it is a front for the MOIS. The Nejat Society is gathering intelligence on MEK members and their activities, as well as spreading propaganda to discredit them.
The activities of the Nejat Society and individuals like Aldo Sulollari are part of a broader pattern of Iranian aggression. The regime has been carrying out assassination attempts on foreign soil, taking hostages, and generating regional conflicts.
Aldo Sulollari's Role in Nejat Society:
Aldo Sulollari, as the media manager for the Nejat Society, has been tasked with attacking MEK members in Ashraf through various means, including buying TV programs funded by the MOIS. Iranian refugees in Albania, contacted by the author of this article, stated that they became aware of Sulollari's role in mid-2022 through MOIS websites. They described him as a young and inexperienced individual who was initially recruited by Hassan Heyrani, a notorious MOIS agent who has since been expelled from Albania. They described Aldo Sulollari as someone ruining his future by helping murderers in exchange for money from the MOIS and the enemies of Albania.
Geostrategic Studies Network, reported on July 26, 2024, that the MOIS transferred Aldo Sulollari and her partner Erisa Idrizi to Dubai in July for instructions and training. Dubai is a common location for the MOIS to debrief its foreign agents. Sulollari then announced on his Facebook page that a new project would soon be broadcast in Albania, America, and the Emirates.
Sources familiar with the MOIS and the activities of the Nejat Society and Aldo Sulollari's training in Dubai have stated that the Iranian regime aims to intensify attacks against the MEK through Aldo Sulollari and to create a network of internet TVs and social media. Additionally, the regime is using Aldo Sulollari to infiltrate more MOIS agents in Albania under the guise of MEK family members, pretending to be relatives of MEK members.
Facing Justice:
The question arises whether it is safe for someone to be part of the Iranian regime's demonization campaign against its opposition, especially when this campaign ultimately aims to inflict physical harm on the victims.
On July 16, 2024, the United Nations issued a report on the "Atrocity Crimes" of the Iranian regime, including mass executions, genocide, and crimes against humanity. The report makes reference to the kind of criminal role that Aldo Sulollari is playing for the regime, that is using a campaign of misinformation and victim-blaming to accuse victims of being "enemy combatants," "terrorists," and "mass murderers." The report documented consistent reports of harassment, intimidation, arbitrary detention, persecution, torture, and other ill-treatment of those seeking justice and accountability. An Iranian victim living in Albania stated that when Iranian regime officials face justice before an international tribunal, we the victims are optimistic that regime’s collaborators will be tried alongside the regime's criminals, as happened in the Durres tribunal in November 2021.
Aldo Sulollari's role as the media manager for the Nejat Society in Albania is shrouded in controversy. The recent incidents of Iranian regime aggression highlight the need for greater scrutiny of organizations like the Nejat Society and their activities. As the regime continues to expand its reach, it is crucial to remain vigilant and address the threats posed by its covert operations and elements.
