The Lausanne Agreement and Erdogan's schemes

On this day (July 24) in 1923, the Treaty of Lausanne was signed, and as a result, the current Turkish map and the countries of Eastern Europe were settled, by nullifying the Treaty of Sèvres, which was signed by the Ottoman Empire as a result of the Turkish War of Independence between the Allied Forces of World War I and the Supreme National Assembly In Turkey (Turkish National Movement) led by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.
This treaty led to international recognition of the Republic of Turkey and a new map that inherited the place of the Ottoman Empire, after the annexation of lands to it, such as the northern border line from Syria and the deduction of others such as Mosul and parts of Eastern Europe.
The treaty defined the borders of several countries such as Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Syria and Iraq, in which Turkey ceded its claims to the Dodecanese Islands and Cyprus and its privileges in Egypt, Sudan and parts of Iraq, and Turkey also ceded Libya, which was specified in Paragraph 10 of the Treaty of Oshi between the Ottoman Empire and the Kingdom of Italy in 1912 ).
On the other hand, the borders with Syria were redrawn, including the annexation of large lands, including from west to east the cities and regions of Mersin and Antioch, passing through the Kurdistan geography to include Gaziantep, Kilis, Maraş, Urfa, Harran, Diyarbakir (Amad), Mardin, Nusaybin and the island of Butan.
In this treaty, although Turkey saw itself as a loser, and that it paid the tax of the Ottoman occupation and its loss in the First World War, but the loss of the Kurds was greater, he did not get a gain, to be excluded by Turkish schemes and conspired with the countries that signed the treaty.
But the reason was not in the signatory parties as much as it was in the divided Kurdish situation itself, and his inability to form his unity and his word in the international forum. And what is happening today in the efforts to organize the Kurdish house and hold the Kurdistan National Congress and achieve national unity is nothing but fear that history will repeat Same with the passage of a century of this treaty.
Treaty devoid of Kurdish representation
Observers and historians attribute that the most prominent reasons that prompted the parties to the treaty to exclude the Kurdish expulsion is that the latter did not possess a unified character and weight at the level of the region. A result was achieved except that it recorded its name in Kurdish history as a revolution, but after the treaty, the revolutions, such as the revolution of Sheikh Saeed and Sayed Rida in Dersim and Al-Hafidi in Iraq, gained their share of extermination, as the Turkish state endeavored to silence every voice it saw as a threat to the geography that it obtained in the era of Republic led by Mustafa Ataturk.
On this day, the Treaty of Lausanne was signed and the Kurds were excluded from their rights... and Erdogan's plans are more dangerous
The plans of extermination and persecution continued until the outbreak of the PKK revolution, which has been going on for 4 decades and until today, and now Turkey is incurring all losses in order to eliminate this revolution, which was aware of the Turkish danger before any other Kurdish party, and realized that the Turkish project was not targeting it. As a party, it targets all Kurds in all parts of his country.
Ankara does not hide its intentions, as it has repeatedly referred to the financial charter map that it lost as a result of Lausanne, and says that it deserves Mosul, Kirkuk and even Hawler, so it blew up the peace project in 2015 with the Kurdistan Workers Party and began igniting the fronts in the south and east to occupy Afrin and Sirri Kani and Ki Spei, and begins to penetrate into the lands of southern Kurdistan (the Kurdistan region of Iraq) a distance of 40 km and established no less than 35 military bases, and expanded its military and political influence in Kirkuk through Turkmen loyalists to it, and in Mosul through Sunni forces accused of cooperating With ISIS, it still has its eye on Kirkuk and Mosul.
Over the past years, as it seems, today, Turkey, which is subject to the Justice and Development Party led by Erdogan, does not hesitate to implement plans that will allow it in the future to draw its alleged map according to the Milli Charter, as it seems that it is striving to impose its influence in all parts that it says it lost due to the treaty, and it is expanding Like an octopus in Syria and Iraq, it reaches Libya and Armenia and threatens eastern Europe.
And what is happening today from the scheme, refutes all the stories and allegations that say that Turkey aims to fight the PKK, as there is no presence of this party, neither in Libya, nor in Armenia, nor in Kirkuk, nor Mosul, which means that the Kurds are still as they dated 97 years ago. Divided even in its concept and awareness of what the Turkish state plans, and still pays the treason tax, so we see that the most demanded by the Kurds today is the achievement of the unity of his class, the convening of the Kurdistan National Congress, the formation of a united Kurdish front to confront the occupation, and comprehensive representation in international forums to bring rights legitimate, so that they do not end up as it did on July 24, 1923.
